Australian Walkabout

The latest mini cushion design that I've made into a kit is called 'Australian Walkabout' and is packed with motifs. I've included the creatures associated with Australia - kangaroo, koala, galaa and kookaburra, but the trickiest motifs to design were those of the Sydney Opera House and the aboriginee. Trying to get such detail into a small area takes some time to work out while ensuring the shapes are still recognisable too.

I'm doing quite well with my latest design featuring tiger orchids and here is my progress so far. The next design will be based on Sunflowers and I've already designed it, I just need to stitch it now. But before I get to that I'll probably be distracted by wanting to design another one!
