Retro Roses

So, Retro Chic is the high street trend of the season apparently. Well, here is my take on that!

I've tried to produce a 'vintage' style mini cushion which includes motifs representing chains of big green beads and smaller pearly bead chains in the corners along with big brash costume jewellery rings along the sides. The four roses are what I'm very proud of though. It's very difficult trying to design a rose in cross stitch in such a small area! Particularly when it needs to be stylised as I'm relying on outlines to define the petals rather than shading.

Still, it certainly brightens up that dull space in a room, and the kit is now in my webshop.
