Hand-crafted Gifts Department

Today, being the 1st of February, sees the launch of a new department in my webshop. I have been spending the past few weeks designing and making a range of gifts all incorporating the designs and motifs that feature in my cross stitch mini cushion kits.

Not all of the gift ideas are specifically for stitchers as there are several sets which contain notepads, pencils with hanging fobs, gift tags and scented sachets so these would make ideal birthday/christmas presents for anyone. The boxes that the sets are supplied in are also hand-crafted and it took me some time to set up the templates for those so that all of the gift items would fit inside! But it's all been good fun as I've enjoyed all the different aspects of getting these items to the market place.

This week I also set up a shop on Folksy. This is going to be mainly for the gift items so my cross stitch kits will be sold through my own website, but I thought it might help to have another outlet for my products. I've just finished another magazine commission for a mini cushion design so that will be going off to the editor very soon. My first commissioned design should be appearing towards the end of this month, but I'll post an update on that nearer the time.
